The skills required of temporary staff continue to change along with the needs of our clients. Many temporary staff too wish to personally develop in order to realize their desired career and increase their value, and it is necessary for us to support each and every worker in their personal development journey.
To help temporary staff achieve their desired careers, we proactively invest in human resource development to support the necessary knowledge enhancement and skill development, and work to implement educational measures and visualize skills.
Starting from the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, PERSOL TEMPSTAFF began a trial program in which temporary staff members currently on job assignment provide information on what they value in their work and the skills they wish to improve in order to reflect this in the career development support provided. In addition, comments from evaluations by the employer are shared with temporary staff members as feedback on how they can further develop their skills and abilities. This trial was well received by the temporary staff who participated in the program, who mentioned that they were encouraged by the specific feedback provided by their employers. This initiative will be expanded throughout Japan in the future.
In addition, with generative AI technology attracting increasing attention, in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, we held an online event on the topic of “The Future of Work and How to Update Yourself,” which was viewed by more than 2,000 temporary staff members on assignments. We have seen a high level of interest in reskilling and upskilling among our temporary staff, and we plan to expand technology-related training and events in the future, such as how to utilize generative AI.

PERSOL TEMPSTAFF offers a service called “funtable,” which enables even inexperienced workers to enter into an unlimited-term temporary staffing contract with PERSOL and earn a stable income, while maintaining the goal of finding employment at a client company. As workers continue to seek employment at a company, we provide training tailored to the challenges and goals of each individual, and conduct career-related interviews on a regular basis. The service, which is unique to PERSOL, has been extremely positively received by temporary staff for the close-knit support PERSOL provides toward their goal of employment at a client company, and in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, it resulted in a roughly 250% increase in the number of individuals finding employment over the previous fiscal year.
