Support for Personal Development and Career Building

Background

The skills required of temporary staff continue to change along with the needs of our clients. Many temporary staff too wish to personally develop in order to realize their desired career and increase their value, and it is necessary for us to support each and every worker in their personal development journey.

Initiative Overview and Objectives

To help temporary staff achieve their desired careers, we proactively invest in human resource development to support the necessary knowledge enhancement and skill development, and work to implement educational measures and visualize skills.

Specific Measures

Initiatives to provide opportunities for
learning and growth

PERSOL TEMPSTAFF operates a program in which temporary staff members currently on job assignment provide information on what they value in their work and the skills they wish to improve. This enables us to understand each individual's aspirations and provide tailored support toward their future career goals. In addition, from the fiscal year ended March 2025, comments from evaluations by the employer are shared with temporary staff members. Specific feedback from our clients encourages our temporary staff, provides valuable advice, and motivates them to further develop their abilities and career.

From December 2024, we have encouraged our staff to participate in Microsoft Japan's Code; Without Barriers in Japan training program to acquire the skills needed to utilize generative AI and discover their own personal work style alongside evolving technology. Participants have commented that the course helped them realize firsthand how generative AI will impact their work. With companies increasingly utilizing generative AI in their day-to-day operations, we will continue to provide our staff with useful information and training.

Initiatives to support learning outside of work

We provide registered staff*1, temporary staff currently under assignment, and outsourcing staff*2 at PERSOL TEMPSTAFF, PERSOL CROSS TECHNOLOGY, and other companies with free e-learning programs. The specific contents of these programs are designed so that participants can learn at their own level, and range from basic knowledge of Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, business etiquette, as well as knowledge of foreign languages, trade, and accounting through to career and employment support, information security, and financial literacy.

PERSOL TEMPSTAFF offers more than 40 training programs and seminars that enable participants to acquire more specialized knowledge in areas such as RPA, CAD, and trade. PERSOL CROSS TECHNOLOGY partners with outside specialist companies to provide more than 50 technical training programs aimed at improving development and infrastructure knowledge, with the number of participants in technical training programs in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, increasing significantly by 176% from the previous fiscal year.

PERSOL CROSS TECHNOLOGY provides temporary staff with financial assistance in obtaining specific qualifications to enable them to increase both their market value and the range of jobs they can perform by acquiring skills that are in high demand among clients. Our temporary staff have commented that support for obtaining qualifications is rarely offered at other companies and that the program is much appreciated. In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, the number of staff who obtained qualifications through this system increased 113% from the previous fiscal year. In addition, 98 temporary staff obtained company-designated certifications maintaining the high level seen in the previous fiscal year.

Additionally, from the fiscal year ended March 2024, we began offering a service called “Manabun Dasu” to support engineers' self-directed learning and skill development. This program reimburses staff for the cost of completing learning programs that are relevant to their work. Users of Manabun Dasu have commented that the program has broadened their learning opportunities and provided an impetus for further study.

PERSOL BUSINESS PROCESS DESIGN has developed a system that enables outsourcing staff to pursue clear-cut career advancement paths by establishing (leadership and managerial) positions within teams, taking advantage of the operational characteristics of providing services as a team.
In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, we held a 1.5-month training program for selected leader candidates, which combined classroom lectures with real-work application in the workplace to hone their project management knowledge and skills. The program has had positive results, including staff who participated in the training furthering their careers by advancing to leadership roles.

Initiatives to expand possibilities for
inexperienced staff

PERSOL TEMPSTAFF offers a service called “funtable,” which enables even inexperienced workers to enter into an unlimited-term temporary staffing contract with PERSOL and earn a stable income, while maintaining the goal of finding employment at a client company. As workers continue to seek employment at a company, we provide training tailored to the challenges and goals of each individual, and conduct career-related interviews on a regular basis.

The service, which is unique to PERSOL, has been extremely positively received by temporary staff for the close-knit support PERSOL provides toward their goal of employment at a client company, and in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, it resulted in a 44% increase in the number of individuals finding employment over the previous fiscal year. Since the start of this initiative, the number of temporary staff finding employment has consistently increased. Workers hired through funtable have commented that the existence of a support system is reassuring, and that gaining experience from the ground up enabled them to get the job they wanted.
