Social Contribution Initiatives

Basic Approach to Social Contribution Activities

The PERSOL Group aims to enhance its corporate value over the medium to long term by addressing social issues, with a particular focus on our material issues such as Creating Work Opportunities. In our social contribution activities as well, we emphasize alignment with these material issues and proactively promote initiatives related to DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and next-generation support.
By enabling diverse individuals—regardless of gender, age, or nationality—to thrive, and by providing opportunities for current and future generations to learn about “work,” we strive to build a society where everyone can experience joy and fulfillment through their jobs and careers. In other words, we aim to realize a society in which people can truly achieve Career Well-being.
To achieve this, we collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including NPOs, universities, companies, local communities, and government organizations, working together to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable society.

DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion)

Sponsorship of “Tokyo Pride,” One of Asia’s Largest LGBTQ+ Events

As part of our commitment to promoting DEI, the PERSOL Group has sponsored and participated in Tokyo Pride, one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in Asia, since 2020. Tokyo Pride brings together diverse cultures and communities, creating opportunities to deepen mutual understanding and solidarity. We support the mission of NPO Tokyo Rainbow Pride, which organizes the event and aims to realize a society where diverse sexual identities are accepted as a given, allowing everyone to live “in their own way—joyfully and proudly.” In line with this philosophy, the PERSOL Group not only sponsors Tokyo Pride but also encourages volunteer participation, with employee volunteers helping operate booths and joining the parade.

Releasing DEI Training Materials for Public Use

As part of our DEI efforts, the PERSOL Group makes available—free of charge—the training materials originally developed for internal use. In 2023, we published our DEI Literacy Training, designed to help participants understand and internalize concepts of diversity and inclusion. The program, which has been completed by approximately 120,000 learners, is now widely used outside the company, particularly by HR professionals, and has received strong positive feedback. In 2024, we released a second set of materials titled “Learning About Diverse Sexual Identities,” which provides foundational knowledge about sexual minorities and encourages individuals to reflect on their everyday behaviors.

Cross-Company Mentoring for Female Leaders

The PERSOL Group operates a cross-company mentoring program aimed at developing female executive leaders and addressing gender gaps. In this program, women in department‑level leadership roles participate as mentees, while executives at the managing officer level serve as mentors. Over a six‑month period, leaders from 14 companies across different industries engage in structured dialogue. By fostering a community that transcends corporate boundaries, the program aims to advance women’s leadership and contribute to DEI promotion across society as a whole.

Supporting Athletes with Disabilities

The PERSOL Group supports employees with disabilities employed by the Group who are engaged in athletic activities via the Challenged Athlete Support system, which allows them to balance work with their athletic endeavors. We will continue to promote the furtherment of sports for persons with disabilities by supporting PERSOL DIVERSE employee Yuya Kimura in his track and field pursuits, as well as via lectures and other extracurricular activities.

Developing the Next Generation

Rikkyo University College of Business BLP (Business Leadership Program)

The PERSOL Group is participating in the Business Leadership Program (BLP), which is a core program of Rikkyo University's College of Business. BLP is a classroom program conducted in small groups using an experiential learning model that progressively develops leadership. It incorporates an active learning format with activities such as a welcome camp and introductory leadership sessions. We are supporting a course called BL2, which is targeted at approximately 300 second-year students in the College of Business.

Platform for Sustainable Education and Community

In 2023, we began to co-sponsor the Platform for Sustainable Education and Community, which runs projects for achieving regional revitalization and developing attractive educational programs under its vision: Create a sustainable society where young people can make one’s own decision. One key project is Chiiki Mirai Ryugaku, which permits students to enter public high schools with regional characteristics beyond prefectural boundaries.
The schemes of the Platform for Sustainable Education and Community are combined with the PERSOL Group's ability to give attention to individuals and connect them with information appropriate for each of them and with society, so as to materialize the vision: Empower youth to make decisions according to their own philosophies. We will thus create an environment that permits students to choose how to live without being constrained by their place of residence and to build a society filled with people who create their own lives with vision.

Regional Vitalization and Local Development

In response to the shortage of human resources facing regional companies in recent years, PERSOL Group companies are working to create jobs and vitalize regional economies through their business activities.
For example, PERSOL WORKS DESIGN (currently PERSOL BUSINESS PROCESS DESIGN) received the Minister of Regional Development Award in the Support for Teleworking to Promote Regional Development category of the 2023 Teleworking to Promote Regional Development Awards sponsored by the Cabinet Office for its Workcation business, which the company has implemented since 2020.

Donation Activities

Career Well-being Donation

As a company dedicated to creating Career Well-being, the PERSOL Group carries out a range of donation initiatives under the name “Career Well-being Donation,” supporting activities that help people engage in work in meaningful and fulfilling ways.

Smile Donation

This initiative uses a smile‑measurement device to visualize people’s smiles by converting facial movements—such as eye and mouth expressions—into points. The accumulated points are then donated to organizations that contribute to the realization of Career Well-being, promoted by the PERSOL Group. Through this process, the initiative transforms everyday smiles into a positive force for society.

In 2025, the 1,500,000 yen raised through this initiative was donated to three organizations: Shibuya University (NPO Shibuya University Network), which creates learning opportunities for people who believe that choices and actions based on their own will can influence society and who “think big and act small”; Athlete-Bridge, a general incorporated association that supports second‑career development for athletes and provides assistance to active athletes in efforts to enhance their Career Well-being; and Service Grant Japan (NPO Service Grant Japan), which supports non-profit organizations working to address social issues by helping them solve their organizational challenges.

Donation Drive Month (December each year)

Donation Drive Month is a nationwide campaign in which NPOs, universities, companies, and government organizations come together each December—the final month of the year—to reflect on and promote charitable giving. In 2025, we called on all PERSOL Group companies to participate, resulting in a total of ten donation activities. These included contributions of everyday items, unopened beverages and food, used books, and donations through the smile‑measurement device initiative, amounting to the equivalent of 519,533 yen. The collected items and contributions were donated to organizations supporting children’s education, NPOs assisting children battling illness and their families, and disaster recovery funds.

Pink Ribbon Campaign

The PERSOL Group has installed donation-linked vending machines at 49 of its sites (as of March 2021), primarily at PERSOL TEMPSTAFF. A portion of the sales from these machines is donated to initiatives associated with the Pink Ribbon Campaign.
In FY2020, on April 19 (the 19th of each month, when action is encouraged, is known as "Pink Day"), PERSOL TEMPSTAFF President Kazunari Kimura made a donation of 1,846,930 yen on behalf of the company to the Japan Cancer Society's Hohoemi Fund for fighting breast cancer.

Emergency Fund for Natural Disasters

In response to the Turkey-Syria earthquake that occurred in February 2023, the PERSOL Group donated 5,000,000 yen to the Japan Committee for UNICEF as emergency relief money to be used for aiding those who were affected by the earthquake. In addition, we began to solicit voluntary donations from PERSOL Group employees immediately after the earthquake. As a result, we donated a total of 866,388 yen as emergency relief money to be used for searching for and rescuing victims and providing healthcare and relief goods to them, via the Japan Committee for UNICEF and the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD).

In January 2024, following the Reiwa 6th Year Noto Peninsula Earthquake, we donated 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society to contribute to relief efforts and support the reconstruction in affected areas. In line with this, we collected voluntary donations from our group employees and made contributions to the non-profit organization Peace Winds Japan, which conducts assessments of the disaster situations, provides search and rescue support, offers medical assistance, and delivers emergency supplies. We also donated to the public interest incorporated foundation Hokuriku Mirai Fund, which supports the affected victims and areas through grants to local NPOs and other activity groups involved in disaster aid.

Donation Amount

The total amount of donations in fiscal year 2024 was 403 million yen.

We actively support our employees' participation in volunteer activities as an opportunity for them to experience diverse values and grow as individuals.
