The working environment is changing dramatically, as a result of shifts in the structure of industry due to the rapid changes in technological progress, changes in the skills expected of human resources. Also, the needs of workers are changing as their values change over time. This has led to a mismatch between jobs and workers’ needs, leading to a decline in the motivation and productivity of workers, and an adverse impact on job satisfaction. These are serious social issues that need to be solved. We will produce a documentary*, introducing our Group Vision “Work, and Smile,” which expresses our aim to improve well-being of people’s lives through their work.
* The documentary is available worldwide through the VISION 2045 website (https://vision2045.com/) and Reuters.com.
■ Our message through the documentary
The PERSOL Group is engaged in a variety of business activities, including temporary staffing, permanent placement, and outsourcing services. Through our activities, we aim to increase people’s choices of work to improve their work engagement and job satisfaction, and to resolve the mismatch between jobs and workers’ needs. Also, in collaboration with Gallup Inc., we are carrying out a global survey* to capture the extent to which people are “working and smiling” worldwide. The PERSOL Group is studying international patterns of well-being among workers, and the impact of these patterns in society which in turn will help advance the frontiers of well-being science. Furthermore, we will promote the importance of “Work, and Smile” to society through our activities.
