PERSOL Asia Pacific acquires Helpster, operator of on-demand staffing platform Workmate

PERSOL Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (based in Singapore; CEO: Takayuki Yamazaki), a member of the comprehensive workforce solutions companies PERSOL Group providing human resource services in the Asia Pacific region, acquired 100% of the shares of Helpster Pte. Ltd. (based in Singapore; Founder & CEO: Mathew Ward), which operates Workmate, an on-demand staffing platform for front-line workers in Southeast Asia.

Helpster is the largest on-demand staffing platform company in Southeast Asia. The company connects front-line workers in restaurants and call centers with companies in Thailand and Indonesia.
The PERSOL Group primarily provides white-collar temporary staffing and placement services in Southeast Asia. This acquisition represents significant expansion into the front-line staffing field, which is expected to grow in the APAC region in the future. We anticipate that Helpster's strength in HR technology will drive digital transformation in the temporary staffing businesses operated by the PERSOL Group.
