■ Initiatives to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The annual greenhouse gas emissions from PERSOL's business activities have been estimated at approximately 25,000 tons of CO2 equivalent (FY2020 results), the majority of which are associated with the use of electricity and fuel combustion when using vehicles. PERSOL is working on a range of initiatives to reduce these emissions.- In order to reduce electricity consumption at our more than 200 offices across Japan, we are working to conserve energy and resources at these offices by developing environmentally friendly offices and incorporating environmental considerations into the workplace culture.
- By utilizing ICT to promote teleworking among our employees, which contributes to a reduction in the number of commutes and the amount of office electricity used, we aim to combine a reform of working styles with a reduction in CO2 emissions. We are also studying switching the electricity used in our offices to renewable energy sources.
- The Asia Pacific SBU has already achieved carbon neutrality at several sites through initiatives such as switching to renewable energy sources. Asia Pacific SBU plans to further enhance its efforts by expanding the use of renewable energy and switching some company vehicles to electric models.
In conjunction with the above efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we will also leverage PERSOL’s technology and know-how to the maximum extent to help achieve a sustainable society.
